CP-LANESBORO
These signals originally were located at Gulf Summit. When the line was single tracked in 2005, these signals were relocated to here. The former searchlights on track 1 and track 1 itself were removed. The line was single tracked from Lanesboro to the new CP-Sanford in 2005. For years, there was no switches at CP-Lanesboro. When the line was single tracked, a switch was installed from track 2 to 1.

Tom Beckett General Prior to 1987 or so, there was a set of crossovers here, as well as the connection to the D&H Penn Division, which ran underneath Starrucca, and which has been well documented. The last trains to use the connection were D&H tunnel detour trains, which ran here from Binghamton, went down the connection and cut off their train. A second set of power coupled to what was now the north end, and headed for Nineveh Jct, where they got on the D&H main. Southbound did the reverse. Prior to D&H acquiring the ex DLW from Binghamton, the Penn Div was their route to Scranton. Erie/EL actually owned it, and did have some local traffic on it, but D&H was the primary user. The tunnel trains were an interesting operation to watch. 9/11/2018 6:24:41 AM
