SEED-08
Title:  SEED-08
Description:  SEED arrives at E. Deerfield on track 1 having cut away from its consist. Track 2, the main is on the left. Far left is the loop from the Conn River main. Until 1983, there was a connection to the now abandoned Turners Falls Branch an ex-NH branch of the former Farmington Canal Line just beyond the loop switch between it and the control box for CPF-384. At one time, both tracks 1 & 2 were considered main line tracks. Now track 1 is considered the Greenfield Industrial here and the Montague Industrial from CPF-381 across the Conn River into E Deerfield Yard. Track 1 is mostly used for classification by yard jobs. In 2019, the train is now more accurately called RJED as SEED's counterpart has been called EDRJ in 2003 and now in 2019.

Fourth in the consist SD26 619 would be retired and scrapped three months later after a wreck. Second unit 371 is still in service and in March, 2019 is one of only two that is lead capable.

SEED-08
Title:  SEED-08
Description:  SEED arrives on track 1 at Deerfield. 619 was in its final months when I saw it. 619 wears the original Guilford scheme when the four roads were spelled out on the hoods. At this time, 619 was one of three SD26's still on the road. 621 & 43 would last in service until 2009. Note the 351, at this time was in great shape in terms of paint. By 2007, the lettering began to wear off and now in 2019, the G and other words have completely worn off. Despite this, it is still nice to see the colors in service and leading.
